The people who live across from us go out every morning and night to leave food at various places around town for the feral cats. We know a few places where they leave food and sometimes we pick up a snack or two on our walks.
At the end of our street which is a cul-de-sac, there lives a sneaky black and white cat named Lucky. We usually see Lucky sleeping on the chairs outside his family's house, or in the driveways of the houses near-by.
He's a useless cat....he never runs, and ignores us...no matter how loud we yell at him.
Even though he has his own family...with three little girls who love us...he comes to the house across from us every night between 8:30 and 9:00 to have dinner.
Every night, we watch........
and wait.......
And tell him to go home!!!
So does Lucky get two dinners then? If so, he's most appropriately named.

PS from Gail - that Scotland's bard did not treat his women well is a fact is best forgotten on Burns night
Kittehs bug me! Why does they gets to roam and has like 14 meals a day????

Lucky is sneaky AND lucky - getting an extra dinner for free. Maybe you can whisper what he is doing to that little girl.

Cats DO seem to love to taunt us don't they. I don't understand it at all.
ReplyDeleteIs Roxy not a part of this valuable neighborhood service you and Bella provide?
ReplyDeleteBella - One day the gate me be left open and then Lucky may come face to face with his nemesis .
ReplyDeleteI can't believes that kitteh isn't skeered of all your yelling. Hey! Maybe he's deaf. Yeah...that's prolly it. What other explanation could there be?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, good job keeping your eyes out for that kitteh! You looks very focused.

Hi Girls, well we suppose he's lucky and smart cause he gets two dinners every night. You have to get Roxy to join in as well, the extra noise might scare Lucky away. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteYours,
What great watchdogs you are :)
ReplyDeleteStewey
Cats......so sneaky and diabolical. We would be barking with you!!
ReplyDeleteWyatt and Stanzie
You ladies just work day and night, sounds like. Why on earth would the neighbors feed Lucky? Are they the same ones who feed the feral cats? Sounds like Lucky is probably making the rounds eating multiple dinners every night; now that's a sweet racket.
