This Morning

This sums up what this morning was like.

Our Early Morning Walk was put off until about 9 a.m.

It was still only about 0°C/32°F.
The sun was just trying to come out from behind the clouds.

At least we got a walk.  Last Tuesday, the sun didn't show up all day, (we think it was in Scotland.) and we DID NOT have a walk AT ALL.  SHE wouldn't get out of HER pyjamas.
SHE said SHE didn't feel guilty because we're the ONLY dogs on our street who go for walks!
All the other dogs just stay in their backyards.
We do not think this is a valid reason, but what can you do.....

Not having a walk is bad enough, BUT
it means we missed out on 'Good Dog' treats
And worse, because we didn't get much exercise,
our dinner portions were reduced!!
(We blame our fat friend Flash.)

The next two mornings are supposed to be even colder.

  9. That cold does not sound like any fun at all...and for it to keep you from your walkies! And then to have your foods cut down because of the no walkies?! Worst season ever!

  14. BOL sounds like SHE is using R and J (rationalizing and justifying) HER behavior. Make sure She knows y'all aren't like all the other dogs in the hood, y'all got places to go, pee mail to leave, and treats to eat. Good luck with Her buddies.

  15. I don't think I will ever get use to the thought of Australian being cold....going in in SA it just seemed to be summer all year long although my sis tells me they get lots of cold days too

  17. That's crazy cold!!!!
I had to curTAIL my walks for a completely different reason - our daytime temps were near 100 degrees (38 celsius)!!! That's too hot for a pug princess.

  18. Well, if it is any consolation, we would not get our walk either if that ICE were here. The Momster says she can't risk a fall. We often wonder about all our neighbors that have dogs. Almost every house on the street has at least one dog and most have two. We are the only ones who go for regular walks. Very curious. We wonder how those dogs stand it with no change in views and no exercise.

Hope it warms up there and the sun returns.

  19. That ice looks nice to us - sort of. We are tired of 100 degrees, which is too hot for any doggy let alone pugs

  20. It's so strange how we have opposite weather, isn't it. Finally here in the North of England, a bit of hot weather (we get about 5 days a year of this if we're lucky!)

  21. Oh man, that sounds pawsome!!!! Then again, I likes the cold, so I am weird! (yeah, I knows you already know that, butts it bears repeating...☺)
Luckily, Ma likes the cold too, so we are a good fit. Nows, it's been just the opposite here, and the same thing is happening....short ass walks and lots of bitchin'! hehehe
    and you should hear Ma!!!
Stay warm guys, and what is with the cut in foodables???! Nuts! Then again, maybe that's why I'm 5lbs overweight....shhhh...don't tell Ma....

  23. Crikey ...... and I thought Sydney was cold. We went to the park late yesterday arvo and I thought I was going to freeze to death. Ive been on those rations for weeks. Mum reckons because I'm not running I don't need as much food. Fair dinkum ..... sometimes our peeps have no idea. All that shiverin' takes up lots of energy. We need FULL rations.

  26. You need to buy your mom some warm clothes! Warm jackets, hat, mittens, OK?

You actually are very lucky compared to all those dogs who live in their backyards.
