It's those Front Yard Cats again!
You know they're ALWAYS in OUR garden.
They come into OUR back garden at night and
sometimes STEAL our toys.
Why, just the other morning as we returned from our
Early Morning Walk,
Jenny was outside....with those cats...and told us she had to return one of our rope toys.
But, back to the story.
Thursday morning when we went out at 5 a.m.
one of those cats was STILL in our back garden.
Facsimile of said cat. |
Well, we surrounded it! Yes, all three of us!
The only way out was up, so it scrambled up a tree and
onto the next door's roof!
Then it raced for its OWN front yard!
We started telling everyone in the street about it
and SHE made us come in.
Later we went to our friend Millie's to take our Christmas photo(s).
When we got home, SHE didn't close the front gate.
Bella and I, Roxy, escaped!
SHE doesn't usually worry, as we live in a Cul-de-sac. We only go next door looking for cats and come home.
This time we FOUND ONE!
We chased it up a tree across the street....YES!!!
Re-enactment |
We're not sure if it was the morning cat or another.
That didn't matter.....high five.
It was fantastic!
(Dui was still strapped in the car and missed the adventure.)
SHE's been more careful about the gate since.
Those pesky cats.
ReplyDeleteYou've got 'em on the run for sure :)
That's the cat told then.
ReplyDeleteGreat illustrations!
We LOVE your reenactments, but stay safe while your chasing those kitties!

What a great re-enactment! Bravo to HER, I hope that cat learned a very valuable lesson! Had DUI been w you there would have been a different ending! I expect DUI was about to chew his restraint into so he could help.

see - we told you....just a little patience and those darn cats would make a mistake and then the chase is on....good job on treeing the pesky buggers
ReplyDeleteFour am is the prime time for cat alerts.
ReplyDeleteThey were scaredy cats then. Want me to send over my Frankie de tabby to sort em out for you... ?
ReplyDeleteSlip of the paw with the gate, happens sometimes. No harm done mum....

Dui, demand a redo.
ReplyDeleteGood for you girls for giving that stoopid cat what he deserved! Bummer that you had to miss out on all of the fun, Dui!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

Cats can be just evil teasers and it sounds like you have some professional cat burglers in your neighborhood. Mom remembers how happy Bentley was when he treed a cat at age 14. He could hardly walk from arthritis but he told that cat where to go. Keep up the watch but don't leave your yard.
ReplyDeleteThat was very exciting. We loved your re-enactment photos.
ReplyDeleteThat's the kind of fun that our crew only dream about! What would SHE do without your protecting her??
ReplyDeleteOMD, I was sittin' on the edge of my puter chair the WHOLE time!!! (okays, honestly I fell out once, butts that might have been because of the 87 margaritas..☺)
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you showin' that interloper who is boss of your hood!!! Those kittehs cannot be trusted....I am so glads you gots the last word gurls!!!!
Dui, your day will come....
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
OK, please hide this comment from Madi. Good work chasing that intruder up the tree!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Hmmmm, cats that steal toys. That's not right, I would report that to the Blogville Police Department!
ReplyDeleteNow that does sound like good fun... I'm sure SHE wasn't too happy having to deal with the 5am part of it but hey if those cats behaved themselves there'd be more sleep!

Monty and Harlow are on constant cat patrol in the backyard - our front yard has no defenses and is constantly being invaded....
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
Poor Dui, he could have practiced his junior officer skills and arrested that C-A-T! Good job to Bella and Roxy for alerting the neighbors!
ReplyDeleteWaggies,
Braeden, Seth and Riley
While we are proud of you for kitty chasing you have to be very careful about running away from Mom. Please keep in mind...you have a following
ReplyDeleteUN.BE.LIEVE.ABLE! They steal your toys?? We are barkless!
ReplyDeleteWally & Sammy
PeeS: the re-enactment had us right there with you!
We cannot tell Trail about this. He actually LIKES the cats, especially the kitten Alice. Good job protecting your property!
