Give Sarge the Bird...

Warning: Long Post
We thought we'd join Sarge's reminiscence of  Giving the Bird....
for Thanksgiving.

If it's one thing we have around here, it's birds.
Here are a few.

Every day, everywhere birds.

Sulphur crested cockatoo

Red-rumped parrot

Black Pacific duck

Magpies

Galahs

Sometimes birds...
Eastern Rosella

Little Corella

Cockatiel

Superb Fairy Wren

Emu

Pelicans

Kookaburras--Very Rare to find five together, we mostly hear them.

We chase them all.

"Do I have to come up there?"

It's 11 a.m. and already 39°C/102.2°F.
SHE says you've seen enough photos of us at the river and sleeping, so we thought we'd do the birds.

  10. I have MY pet parrot, Kismet. I thought the Indian Ringnecks might have strayed to Oz. I guess not. There are flocks of feral Indian Ringnecks in New York City and San Francisco. Kismet is happy to see the bird pix but unhappy that there are no Ringnecks.
