We have a few things to be thankful for, today.
Firstly, our Daisy's name was included in the Fala to the Rescue
roll call of scotties who've gone to the Bridge in the last year!
The Organiser sent the youtube links, so we could watch.
Next, Finley was having lots of rain, so we asked her if she'd send some to us in our comment.
And a couple of hours later, just look!
Great job, Finley.
Though next time you can leave out the Wind, Thunder and Hail!

Yesterday was Roxy's Gotcha Day!
A package arrived for her from............?
Yes, her ♥♥♥Ernie!♥♥♥
It was covered with stickers from Customs and Quarantine peeps
with an OFFICIAL letter addressed to Roxy!
They stole one of the presents!
Now, we know Ernie would NEVER send Roxy a 'biosecurity risk'.
The letter says they destroyed it 'free of charge'.
Hmmmmmmm, we're thinking they destroyed it by EATING it themselves.....just sayin'.
So it must have been good!
At least they did leave most of the stuff in the box
including the box with nothin' in it Roxy sent to Frankie at Easter.

At least they did leave most of the stuff in the box
including the box with nothin' in it Roxy sent to Frankie at Easter.
But Frankie changed the wording to say to Roxy from Frankie.
Inside it, was a smaller, gold box with purple ribbon and a note.
Not only was it empty, but Frankie Farter sent a note INSULTING Ernie...AGAIN!
The rest of the box contained TWO rope toys, THREE antlers
(which aren't considered a biosecurity risk, obviously.)
And some HONEY lollies that SHE isn't sharing, and Scottie earrings...for HER, not the Scotties.
And a cute little Koala pin.
Dui has already claimed the largest antler and won't give it back.
Thank you Ernie! You made my Gotcha Day EXTRA special....
I ♥ You!
At least dey didn't steal all da pressies.
ReplyDeleteI think the postoffice peep was jealous and stole it fur themselves.
ReplyDeleteWow, that Finlay's got some super powers !
ReplyDeleteIsn't that Ernie a big romantic !!! So sweet to send his girlie those goodies on her Gotcha Day, what a charmer (which is more than can be said for those customs men !)
Loves and licky kisses

Those customs peepz are so evil. I can't believe they had the nerve to say it's free of charge. Let's look on the bright side, they didn't destroy the toy.
ReplyDeleteWe can't believe that customs would stoop so low! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
ReplyDeleteYour Ernie is sure the bestest, Roxy!
Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
Crikey you sure got a lot to be thankful for. Rain all the way from Texas via a good lookin' Sheila, Finley. An honour for Daisy and a pressie from Ernie for Roxy. I can't believe those custom blokes stole part of it. Who do they think they are anyway?
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so cute! I can tbelieve your present got tampered with by cusoms, fools
ReplyDeleteretro rover
I also received the rain, the hail, the wind, plus a 3.5 hr black out that started at 6pm, was not a pleasant night, fly screens either torn out of the windows or the mesh torn up, I also had two dogs racing around in the house barking , they were not frightened of the thunder, but was barking back at it. I also had a parcel opened by customs,it was quite a while ago, they sent it back to the place of origin, a pair of earrings can you believe it, I know that we in Oz have the toughest rules know to man, but a pair of earrings, yet they let antlers through, stupid people probably did not know what they are. Am glad that most of your parcel arrived.
ReplyDeleteThat was very kind of Ernie. Grrr to customs. Have tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Bol! The nerve o' yur gov r ment to get all up in yur private mail. I wunnder if they read the silliness in those letters. Bol!
ReplyDeleteAt least sum of the goodies made it past the in speck tors.
Oh my word the Down Under folks stole some of your pressies?! Wonder what did not meet the Australian standards? At least they left you some rope...you might need it when we form a posse to go after them.

Oh wow! Stolen pressies - that's unfair!
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
good old aussie customs - they do on occasions like to confiscate things :)
ReplyDeleteWell Squirrel Poop.... they STOLE your SNACKS??? That is nearly CRIMINAL.
ReplyDeleteI can NOT believe they let the ANTLERS through and STOLE the bag of Milo's Kitchen Snacks... THAT is Terrible.
Frankie the FARTer is Laffin beclaws HIS contribution went through... THAT is what SHOULD have been confiscated.
We are glad that the other stuffs made it though.
We are glad that you got RAIN butt sorry that it came so Forcefully.
We will go now and see the video...
Love you Roxy.
YOUR Ernie.
We bet those custom peeps kept the treats for their own dog. Glad the rest made it through.
ReplyDeleteSo in other words, it was another regular day in the neighborhood, BOL. Roxy we just want to kiss that face
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Lily & Edward
Maybe what was taken was the vial of ebola that Frankie sent.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Ernie. Sorry part of your gift was confiscated by the feds. Nice prezzie!
ReplyDeleteWow aren't the customs people just so generous. Destroying Roxy's present FREE OF CHARGE…
ReplyDeleteGlad some of the stuff got through anyhow.

I laughed so hard at the present story and Frankie's note had me rolling. Glad y'all got some much needed rain. BOL at Kyla's she is so bad!
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
We're happy about Daisy but surprised about Roxy's gift. We didn't know that your customs peeps were so diligent. We'll have to remember that in the future. Here you could mail us a bomb and nobody would care.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Daisy for that very nice designation. And good on the rain if you need it. We will pass on any that tries to come our way as we are on a mission to find some snow:)
ReplyDeleteVery nice pressies from Ernie although it is too bad about the thievery!
Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
How nice! Bu not fair they took so much!
ReplyDeleteA tip of the tail to Daisy. Foley is going to throw he a party at the Bridge. Sorry about your customs folk. Can live to America. You can mail anything here. Anthrax. Nuclear devices. We have just given up

What a sweet gift box from Ernie!!! Biohazards??? Ruh roh. I'm glad the rest of the great stuff made it to you!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that we could send rain in a comment. I might use that in the future!
They always say it's the thought that counts ... But those missing pressies, I don't want to tell you what I think! But I DO think it was awfully nice what did get there!!
ReplyDeleteWow, your Ernie is quite the charmer!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe can't believe we missed your 3rd birthday! We even had it marked on the calendar! And then one of Ernie's pressies was stolen and destroyed?? Not fair! We hope you had a wonderful pawty!
