We're back!!!

Hi Everyone! Remember us? We're back!  We got sprung collected from 'camp' this morning.  We were so happy to come home.  We recognised the sound of our car and started up a racket until SHE paid our bill.  Roxy and Bella made a huge fuss, but I was as dignified as always and  let HER come to me for a greeting.

Roxy licked the back of  HER neck all the way home--about 20 minutes. (That dog  has NO dignity at all.)

 We made sure the back yard was the same, and the water dishes were in the  right places and full. And the house hadn't changed.

AND look what was waiting for us!

 We got a dozen...yes, that's right...12 Christmas cards today SHE only got two. We opened all of them!

SHE brought us some People Crackers back from the USA.  Frankie gave us some last year and we just loved them.  So SHE got us six packets.  We gave our friend Millie one of them.

 

 We didn't get to take any of our Christmas treats to the kennel camp, so we DEMANDED a few when we got home. (SHE was feeling guilty at leaving us for three weeks....in the heat as SHE should.  We didn't tell her that we got the air conditioned rooms....but we think Debbie, the camp director did.)

Anyway, it was starting to heat up for the day, so we got on a big bed in front of the air conditioner and fan, for a sleep.

 And later, Bella watched a program about macaque monkeys.  

She missed the television.

It's still pretty hot....just over 100 F (38 C), so we stayed inside in the cool.  But don't worry, we looked out the window and let everyone....especially the cats...know that we were are BACK!

We can't believe we missed Madi's coronation inauguration.  Sounds like it was way beyond fun!

Thanks for your concern about the fires.  The ones closest to us are still several hours' drive away.  We are safe, but we feel sorry for all the people and animals affected.
