Two subjects

I, Daisy, have to tell you what happened this morning.
SHE had to work today, so that meant that Bella and I had to go on a HER walk.  A HER walk means that we just walk...no sniffing...no pee-mail...just walking.
Daisy
It's not our favourite kind of walk; but hey, it IS a walk.
Anyway, we were belting along when we saw a CAT.  It stopped and got very low to the ground, near a storm water drain.  When we got near, that CAT walked right up to us and sniffed our noses!
We were shocked!
In fact, we just stood there like statues!
We've never been that close to a CAT...usually they run from us.
Finally, when SHE dragged us down the street, we recovered enough to bark and lunge.
But that CAT just looked at us!

Subject 2
Kendra stayed home.  She can't go on our long, fast walks.
Kendra (with her wonky beard)
But we took her on a slow--dead slow-- walk around the reserve this afternoon. (At least we could sniff everything.)  Kendra is still just being herself.  She  barks at anyone who comes near the house, tries to intimidate Bella to steal her food, alerts us to meal or snack times, digs holes and chases her ball.  She is well.  Just slow.

  2. Hehehe, now that's funny about the cat. Bet it took you by surprise. Cats can be sneaky for sure. Kendra, Rory says the best way is to be slow. Very slow. It conserves energy for eating and sleeping. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  3. Oh, those 'before the human has to rush off to work' walks can be rather tedious.
    But Daisy, beware of cats.....

  5. We do not care for cats in our neck of the woods. Hannah is so territorial I think she would eat one if mommy and daddy let her get close enough. Hugs for Kendra. It is OK to be slow...we all get older at some point.

  9. Nothing wrong with being slow - all that matters is if Kendra is happy:)

We can't believe you got nose to nose with a cat!!! How did you maintain such self-control? Maybe you have made a new furiend.

  10. WOW! A kitteh came right up and sniffed your nosies? That is one BRAVE kitteh. But I guess you showed it who was boss when you remembered later to bark and lunge. Good job!

Speaking of slow...my MOM is the slowest walker EVER! She's always saying, "Don't pull so hard, Mayzie." Well, if she would walk faster, I wouldn't HAVE to pull so hard. She's prolly be a pawfect match for Kendra.

    Mayzie

  11. There's nothing wrong with slow! Morgan is pretty slow these days with just three legs that work, but she gets there.

Watch out for cats, they can scratch your noses. It happened to us.

  15. We've both had cats approach us like they wanted to be our best friend and we're in shock until it hits our brains what's really happening and then we tell them to get lost!

    Love ya lots,
