We're having scottish weather at the moment--okay Bertie, summer scottish weather--overcast, grey, windy and cold(ish) about 50 F. Naturally we love it, but SHE has been harder to get out of the house in the mornings. It has taken all three of us badgering encouraging HER to move more quickly. That means our walks have been later in the morning.
No one was around the carpark when we got there just before 10 am this morning, so Bella and I got to run free!
Kendra always has to stay on the lead.
Bella lost her 'free' privilege halfway through the walk after chasing a jogger, a cyclist, annoying an aged Beagle and eating something disgusting.
Bella, in front and Daisy return from chasing the cyclist. Actually, Daisy ran after Bella probably to keep her from having fun. |
Both yesterday and today, we saw 'roos in the paddocks....it was way past their bedtimes.
We think the overcast conditions mess up their clocks.
The 'roos know they're safe because of the fence--but they were very interested in us.
We're always amazed to see you running leash-free. We can barely be trusted to be in our fenced back yard without leashes. :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the picture of the kangaroos! We would love to chase them.

(Scotties from Virginia posting through our Mom)
Looks like a nice cool walk. we would scream if we saw those things in our field.
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Hasn't it been cold!! Hy mum hates being hot, but even she has been grumbling about the low temperatures. At least you girls still manage to get HER out for your walkies.
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie.
Tell your mom to put on more sweaters and go! Terriers need to see stuff. So, Roos are nocturnal? We learned something new today!
ReplyDeleteWyatt and Stanzie
OH Bella never chase a jogger or a cyclist. That could get you grounded.
ReplyDeleteBella you were being quite the little devil giving those joggers a run for their money.
ReplyDeleteSweet William The Scot
Well done Bella for finding something disgusting to eat. What else are morning walks for ?
ReplyDeleteKeep it up Bella, a dog doesn't get anywhere if not prepared to push the boundaries. Glad you all enjoyed your 'Scottish' morning (+ kangaroos!)
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
We'd chase anything/one if we weren't on lead - you're lucky you get to go off-lead.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh, Ruairi and Ivy
Oh my dear Bella, your curiosity and devil may care attitude are just two of the reasons I love you!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles & nose kisses,
Oskar
'Roos! We only see 'roos at our Zoo. It is fun to be reminded just how far away you live from Darby and Pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to get to see roos - we know we would try to chase them. 50 F sounds delightful to us right about now. We are likely to hit triple digits here today:( Makes it very easy for us to decide to snooze the day away in our a/c coolness.
ReplyDeleteWe do get very jealous that you (or at least some of you) get to go offleash, that never happens for us.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Bella, you are just a handful:) Love it!
ReplyDeleteroos!! you saw roos! that's super duper cool!
ReplyDeleteoh, and btw, miss bella, i think you 'n me could get in lots of mischiefs if we were togethers. :)
next time ya'll ladies have to go get fur trims, make sure you keep your extra furs cuz i think SHE needs a fur coat! heehee.
*woof*
the booker man
Oh yah Bella, I would have been so outta there and chasing stuffs too. Least you had some fun though!!

Hee hee - Bella sound sjust like Louis, starts off well on a walk, goes off lead but just can't help himselg getting into trouble by chasing someone so it's back on the lead! Sounds like you have normal English summer weather ;-) Dex and Lou xxx
ReplyDeleteWe sure wish we'd get to be off-leash - just once would be nice!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see kangaroos on your walkie!
Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
The roos were interested in making friends with you, I don't think they would harm you. Would they?
ReplyDeleteRunnin' off leash is da best! :)
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
my border patrol group would go crazy over your roos...
ReplyDeleteHELLO!!!! I've somehow missed your posts this past week (I've got to pay better attention) and am glad Bella really enjoyed freedom on her walk while she could! :-)) Our little pup is learning to enjoy walks too and finding all kids of little things--Little at least for now, I'm sure they'll be big things soon enough!!
ReplyDeleteThe roos look super curious.. hehhehehee.. but don't get too close.. i heard that they are pretty good boxers :D
ReplyDeleteBella... life sure would be boring without you around. The disgusting thing to eat is something i do each day in the garden when SHE is not looking :D
woofs n licks,
Dommy
Oh oh, now only one of you can go free. Our Tsar and Bailey can't be trusted off leash ever and Sky and Lola aren't complete trustworthy. The rest of us are very good about coming when Mom calls.
ReplyDeleteMorgan, Tsar and the Porties
How much fun you all always have there! Seeing Roos!! 50 degrees sounds perfect! Holly always has to stay on the leash....she tries to run after cars which is a very bad thing!! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
ReplyDeleteI can't beeleeve poor Bella lost her off-leash privilege after so few..and such minor infractions! Bummer.
ReplyDeleteYou looks so cute on your little trail ladies! I cannot imagine seeing kangaroos like that - very cool :)
