Kendra |
On Thursday, we piled into the car and went to the V-E-T-S. Kendra had to stay ALL day for tests--whatever that means.
Bella and I got to go on a BIG walk. We'll tell you about that another day.
We were all excited when Kendra came home...not just because it was dinner time. We did happy dances and had a short game of zoomies. We missed her. AND we got lambshanks for dinner because SHE felt sorry for Kendra.
Next day, the test results were in. Kendra has Cushings. This morning she started her treatment......that meant we got cheese this morning...only Kendra had a tablet in hers.
As Rubie says 'every cloud has a silver lining.'
Guess that means Kendra got the cloud and we're cashing in on the silver linings!
Change of subject now.
Change of subject now.
We changed our scottie calendar yesterday, July 1st, and Bella spent a long time staring at the new picture.
Are you three in the calendar?
ReplyDeleteHope Kendra feels better :)
Woof! Woof! Oh Kendra ... tablets with cheese is great. LOVE your photo. I think you guys need to bring down the calendar, Bella wants to see it (closer). Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteI got concerned when I saw your post title.....I hope Kendra will be OK! I don't need cheese to eat my tablets - I eat anything after all. So we all went to that horrible place this week - glad to see we are all back at home (*shudder*). Hey I went and checked my calendar...and there is a little brown labrador puppy on it...COOL! Not as good as a terrier though!
ReplyDeleteBe good girls, Tail Wuggles, Rubie.
Oh Bella is that you up there..hope all went well at the V-E-T
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Hope Kendra wil be okay and yes you get the lining. Maybe Bella sees a stuffie in the picture and she wants to figure out how to get it off there, BOL

Hi Guys! Hope Kendra will be okay, I'm sure you're all making lots of fuss of her. You are soooo funny staring at the calender, it must be a very special picture to grab your attention so ;-) Have a great weekend all, Dex and Lou xxx
ReplyDeleteHiya girls! Fergus here.
ReplyDeleteGuess what? I also have Cushings!!
Its not too bad, I feel a lot better now that I get to have two bites of chicken (with tablets) each day.
The tablets are called vetoryl, is that what Kandra has?
My peeps have noticed a BIG change in my behaviour since I've started taking my chicken. I have LOTS of energy and I am generally a lot happier. I hope Kendra feels better soon!!
Wags and sniffs,
Fergus
everyone gets cheese around here every morning...Bliss has thyroid medicine in hers...we just get the cheese....What is cushings?
ReplyDeleteHi Kendra~ My peeps last scotty had Cushings. Half Pence was diagnosed when he was five (he had a node on his pituitary gland most are on the adrenial). Half Pence lived another seven years and he passed from cancer not Cushings. Take your medicine regularly so you keep your hormone level normal. And tell her to include you in more pictures.
ReplyDeleteSo you can live a long life and prosper!!!!
Sweet William The Scot
Oh my... Cushings??? Dachshunds are prone to that too. Butt the good thingy is that it is controlable. I am so very much sorry to hear this though. Well, except fur the CHEESE part.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the calendar pic... I can understand why you are lookin at it.
Is that you girls on the calendar??

ReplyDelete~Milly and Shelby
hi gals! sorry to hear about kendra's illness... my momma has the human version of cushings and we know it make you feel real yucky for sure! hope kendra is feeling better right soon!
ReplyDeleteedgar
Cheeeeeese! That's my favorite. Licks and Tail Wags to Kendra, hoping the medicine works for the sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteBoomer
Cushings is when the adrenal glands produce too much. I have Addisons which is the glands not producing enough. Does Kendra care to give me her excess? I get an expensive shot every 25 days but it is better than my body shutting down. Before it was diagnosed, it was touch and go for a while four years ago.
ReplyDeleteOh my poor Kendra! I do hope that cheese just makes you feel ALL better! Your sisters are lucky they can cash in and get some too, you better make sure they are extra nice to you! I don't even know what to say about that curious calendar.... hmmmm..... did you recognize them??? either way you look quite interested! VERY CUTE! If only we know what you were thinking! Have fun, enjoy that cheese and get better soon Kendra!
ReplyDelete-Tail waggs and Licks from Duncan!
Hope Kendra feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteStewey

Poor Kendra. Thank goodness it is something manageable although managing things isn't always easy or inexpensive. Lambshanks help a lot, I'm sure. (-:
ReplyDeleteWe are sorry Kendra about your illness but we just know you will be fine with treatment. Cocker Spaniels seem to get that disease too and we had one years ago with it. Cheese with the pills is a good thing!!! We know why you are staring at the beautiful calendar!!!! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
ReplyDeleteDon't despair Kendra. You can lead a long active life with liver disease. Just ask Morgan.
ReplyDeleteMorgan, Tsar and the Porties
Sorry to hear the news about Kendra, I'm sure the tablets will sort her out.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week
See yea George xxx
Don't you worry about that 'ole Cushings. Once they figure out the best treatment and the dosage and ev everything, you'll be fine Kendra. Really.
