Kendra has finished her initial 5-day course of Lysodren for her Canine Cushings. Now she's on one tablet a week. Then back for more blood tests. There haven't been any great changes....yet. Though yesterday we took her to the duck pond (her favourite) and she was quite puppy-ish, leading the pack. She was so enthusiastic she fell in. But that just made her more lively.
Last night, she wanted to play with her ball again. First time in ages. She chased it and jumped. So maybe she's feeling better.
She stills raises a racket if anyone comes near the house or walks down the street.
Yay fur Kendra........paws crossed that the medications continue to help her!
ReplyDelete........and OF COURSE, her needs to raise a racket whenever anyone comes near the house. It is HER street, after all. sheesh.
Yipppppppeeeee it sounds as thougth the meds. are gonna work!! WHEEEEEE!! Grrrrreat news.
ReplyDeleteAND I agree with Minna Krebs.. Naturally we have to Bark away all ... intruders!! They might Eat our foods or Steal our toys or stuffs like that!!
Good news about Miss Kendra! Paws crossed that her tests look good, but duck chasing and ball playing sound promising!!

That sounds wonderful. We hear that lysodren can do so much good for dogs with Cushing's. We didn't have much luck with Dakota, but she was one of the very few dogs that couldn't tolerate it. It sounds like you are already seeing some changes in Kendra - paws crossed for even more.
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
it sounds like miss kendra is already a little more spunky on the new meddies! me and asa and mama have our paws crossed that it will continue to help and that her blood tests will be grrreat!!

Ohhhh...I sure hope she is feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI was leaning over into my duckpond yesterday and looking at the ducks (very closely). mum said if I fell in she would "tan my behind". I don't know what that means - coz she's a big softie - but I was good and left the ducks to their waters!
ReplyDeleteI think it sounds like Kendra is coming along well. Hope so!!!!

ReplyDeleteLee's Half Pence took Lysodren for his Cushings also. Did the blood test every three months. He was such a happy good pet. Kendras fur still looks wonderful for Cushings. Glad Kendra is the feature story today and hope she can stay regular on Lysodren.
