Saturday Walk

This morning we headed to Sandy Beach along this path that we haven't been on since the flood in December.

Have you noticed that we AREN'T on leads?  We didn't have to wear them the whole time!
See Bella's banana tail, that means a grooming session coming up.

There were LOTS of interesting things to investigate!

When we got to Sandy Beach, the Dragon Boat rowers were leaving for a practice.  If you look VERY closely, you'll see me, Daisy, in the water helping them start off.
However, there were much more interesting things along, and in the water.
Bella (banana tail) in foreground and Daisy in back.
We watched them go down the river.
Then got back to business.  We zoomed around through the gooey mud and sand.  Paddled in the water.  Chased rocks that were mysteriously falling into the water.

We stayed for a long time, then walked back to the car.
Little did we know, it turned out to be BATH DAY! (No pictures because someone didn't check the battery.)
We know it was BATH DAY and not just because we were messy because Kendra had to have a bath, too, and she only went on the early morning walk and wasn't dirty.
(Note:  How can dogs play in water for ages and not enjoy a bath?)

  8. We aren't very fond of baths either, but we would love to go on that nice walk with you. Of course, we can never be off leash because the Momster says we would run too fast and too far for her to keep up with us:( Have a great weekend.

  16. Off-leash walks are the best! I usually enjoy myself so much that I too receive a bath before I'm allowed free run of the house:)

  18. I don't understand the bath issue, either. Mine will stand in puddles in the backyard with no trouble at all. But, in the bathtub...?!

  22. Helo lovely ladies, especially you Bella!

Do you think your mom person could e-mail us a few good pictures of Bella alone that we could crop for our date? You could send them to PBU at comcast dot net.

  24. I don't have an e-mail address for you. If you could just take a few different shots that you think look fun and send them as an attachment to PBU at comcast dot net, that would be great!

    Sweet dreams Bella,

  25. Lovely path, glad the floods are gone. Nice walk without leashes, and the swim with the dragon boats sounds like fun.

Bella really does have a banana tail...
