She did it again....

Yep, this morning Bella murdered another baby bird.  Our garden is fast becoming an avian cemetery!  I've  told her that she's acting like a cat--but she doesn't care!
On a lighter note, the callistemons have started to bloom all up and down the street, in lots of different colours.  These two are in our garden.

Bet you can guess why their more common name is a Bottlebrush.

  1. Wow!! That Bella is a quick one - we still are wondering if these little birdies become snackies?

    Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi

  2. Bella - You're not alone in this. I have to tell you there was once a dog called Digby who swallowed them whole !

  3. I think Bella needs a 12 step program - and soon!
Mom says those flowers are gorgeous!

  4. Bella,

I has never caught a baby do you do it?

    WOofs and Licks,
    Maggie Mae

  5. My mom LOVES those bottle brush flowers. Sorry Bella Bashed another Baby Bird.
I had a Bird experience the other day. I got pictures of it... just for you... butt I gotta tell about the Pumpkin show and a couple of other thingys... before I get to show you the pix. Don't let me furget... It is really cool stuff.

  6. WOW!! That Bella is quite quick on the birdies. YOu would think that they would pass the word along to watch out for the Black Dawg?? Maybe she is part cat!! BOL

  7. Now that she knows she has the are just going to have to get faster birds!
Love your bottlebrush bushes. We have tried to grow them so many times, but they always freeze in the winter. We did not know they came in pink too! Must buy a GREENHOUSE :)

  8. I wouldn't call it murder...too much of a negative connotation with that.
..She is just taking an active role in natural selection! LOL!

  9. What pretty flowery things!

  10. maybe your mom needs to increase her daily kibble a bit?!?!?!?! heeeheeee

  11. Maybe she thinks she a cat! She may need some therapy!

  13. Bella, NO! Naughty puppy. Hmm, I hope I wasn't too stern with her...

    Nubbin wiggles,

  14. Those flowers are beauitiful!! We know it's not good to get those baby birds but it just happens around here too. Little ones and big ones in a blink of an eye. I wish they wouldn't build nests in the pine tree here. Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  15. Bella, You must be quick to be able to catch a little birdie! Love all the flower, I can see where they get the name bottle brush. They look just like one. Have a wonderful weekend.

  16. I'm sorry about the bird, really. I chase them, but there's never any danger of my catching them. I think that you have some irresponsible bird Moms in your yard. One falling out - OK, it happens. But two in such short a time? Someone is not building her nest to code is all I can say.

    lotsa licks, Lola

  17. Oh my Bella you better stop before the authorities are called. BOL

  19. Oh dear Bella, we feel Murder is such a strong word!
We are sure it was an accident!!!
Those are very pretty 'bottlebrush' blossoms - lovely colour. We don't have those in Scotland or at least we haven't seen them.
