Our Day

Hi, This is a photo of me looking happy. That's because it stopped raining yesterday. We did get to go for a very short, rather terse walk in the afternoon. We hadn't been for a real walk for four days, so I kept getting on the wet grass and mud; Kendra found something disgusting to eat; we tangled the leads and Bella broke her collar lunging at an unsuspecting cyclist.
We only got to the end of the street, were turned around and came home.
BUT.....
This morning there was a frost and it was foggy. That meant we were in for a warm day! It was beautiful. We went for an early morning walk and then another when SHE got home from shopping. We went to the Sports ground. Weekend sports had been cancelled. We discovered why, after a few steps on the soggy ground. By that time, we'd been let off our leads. Bella raced unerringly to find another bone. Kendra immediately started rolling in the mud. It looked like fun, so I rolled, too.
We walked all around the grounds..Bella discarding her bone when she realised it handicapped her during zoomies, and then came home by the roads.
We saw three cats and told them to get off the streets.
THEN....
We got some new treats. They were great and kept us busy for about 30 minutes. Usually, SHE can't find us anything that makes us chew for long.
All in all, it was a happy day.

  2. Hi there Daisy
That is a lovely smile and we can see you a happy gal. Going out is great, especially when you had to stay in for four days.... We forgot you are in Aussie and it winter where you are.

As for rolling in the mud and such like - we now worried about your beautiful skirts? Did your mum have to de-tangle them?

Skirt care is of concern in our household. I only have a short one (deliberate) and Bonny just does not seem to be growing one.

Do some Scotties not grow skirts? Can you advise pls?

    Always enjoying your bloggie
    Hector and Bonny too!

  3. Love that smile! Glad you finally were able to get some walks in! It's been too hot here to take Brodie and Caolin far.

And do share on what treats you were given that kept you busy for 30 minutes! I am lucky if I can distract my dogs with anything for longer than 5 minutes!

  11. It's the other way around here. It's been too hot for too long and too little rain. We're starting to get relief from the heat, but my little part of the world still needs rain. And you know we need it bad for me to say that. I don't like to out even in a slight drizzle. Glad your day today was better.

    lotsa licks, Lola

  14. It rained here last night but the ground was so dry that it didn't make good mud to roll in. Mom loves it when we all roll in the mud. It makes her day. Wouldn't anyone like to bathe nine muddy dogs?
