Look what's happening!

Last week was cold (for us). The towns east of us had snow. In fact, the Snowy Mountains ski areas have had the best falls for years. SHE worked all week, so we only had hurried 'business' walks in the morning.
We were very surprised yesterday on our more leisurely walk to discover......
These trees starting to blossom.
And daffodils.
These are actually weeds, but we like them, when they're not in our garden because the look like daisies.
Even our Magnolia has decided it's time to blossom.
Everywhere we looked there was some new flower growing.
Looks like Spring is sneaking up on us.
(Now if we can just get rid of the cold wind.)

  1. Wait a minute there! It's almost spring in Australia? And it's almost the end of summer here in Manchester, NH....wow! Either you are backwards or we are...not sure which! Ha! Ha! Such beautiful flowers and weeds down there! What fantastic pictures you've shared with us! Thanks for the tour!
I'm so glad you got a laugh out of the Saxton Freymann DOG FOOD book! I thought it was amazing that someone could cash in on simply carving fruits and veggies and get published too! What fun these books must be for children (and adults) to read!
    Bye for now....April

Butt, at my house, we are anxiously waiting on the furst signs of Autumn! Our summers are much rougher than winters. So, we look forward to cool days and nights......and a bit of rain!

  5. Pretty flowers & pretty girls! It's been so hot here we've very happy for cool breezes. Fall is my mom person's very favorite season. Do leaves change color & fall off the trees where you live?

  11. Hi girls - sigh, we admit to a twinge of envy when we read this post. Such beautiful photos - FH adores daffs but we won't be seeing them in our part of the world until 2011 now. We're glad that spring is finally springing for you but we hope you avoid the snow!
