We found lots of these feathers in a friend's driveway--no body though.
We're not sure what kind of bird they're from...
a parrot of some sort.
We haven't seen feathers like this before,
we just wanted to show you.
There are lots of cats in that area.
Mischief Monday.......Murder Monday?
You have the prettiest birds.

Those are purdy feathers. Nuthin like that round my place but the garage cats leave feathers an body parts in the garage affer their "snacks".
ReplyDeleteWow - those are really bright and beautiful. I wonder what happened to the bird?
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
those are some pretty feathers - always a problem with feral cats around
ReplyDeleteThose definitely look like parrot feathers...but they don't look like they were pulled out by a cat. Though, they don't look molt ready either but maybe they were. I can tell you my brother Corky, the blue-fronted Amazon parrot, has been known to hold his own against a cat...the cat went RUNNING away after a good bite to the nose. Ooops!

Cats ? !!!
ReplyDeleteYou know the old saying.... Chicken one day... FEATHERS the next.
ReplyDeleteThat would have been a very much COLORFUL chicken though...
Or maybe it was a Green Tuffted Boobie Mouse.. Although we have NEVER understood why anybuddy would call a BIRD a MOUSE... and we don't think ANY birdies have Boobies... Just sayin.
AAAAAACK. I'm freaking out.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous feathers. Hope he got away. Did you check youngsters mouth?
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
OH DEAR THEY ARE VERY PRETTY FEVVERS...MOM HAS A FRIEND WHO IS A BIRD REHABBER. SHE ONCE TOLD MOM IF YOU DON'T SEE blood WITH THE FEVVERS THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THE BIRD ESCAPED. WE SURELY HOPE SO. BUT JUST FOR GOOD MEASURE BE SURE TO BARK A FEW HBO WORDS AT THE FRONTYARD FELINES
