Our friend Kyla....

Today we got the news that our friend Kyla went to the Bridge.

She warned us in her posts and comments that it would happen, but we kept hoping she could put it off a bit longer;

after all, she'd put up with Addison's disease and pancreatitis.

But, it was cancer pain that took away her quality of life.

She let her family know it was time.

We loved reading Kyla's comments, she was a tough cookie.

We feel privileged to have received one of her Scottie Mobile number plates.

We put it over our carport, so we could see her every day--
we'll keep it there.

Kyla was the Green Bean Queen.

So tonight, we had  green beans for dinner in memory of her.

The Legend of Kyla will live on.

  6. Kyla was a fighter and did things her way...we thought it was a super idea when she decided to throw herself a goodbye party and we were happy to participate in the Highland Games in her honor. She was a tough cookie and she left a legacy to remember. We are sorry you lost your friend. I bet all the Scotties over the bridge were there to greet her.

  14. Kyla, Stuart and you were the first blogs I read. I don't comment much but so enjoy all of you. Kyla made me laugh so many times and I will miss her one liners. She didn't waste her time fussing over things, got to the point and got it across. I am heartbroken and hope her peeps take comfort knowing what an impact one wee Scotty lass made. 💔💔💔

  21. I was fortunate also and got a plate. Since in Ohio we have to have back and front license plates on our cars we have ours on our back door through which friends enter. We smile every time we go in or out.
    Thanks for being a friend
