Today, a big box arrived at our house.
It's our new Worm Farm.
SHE put it together.
At the moment it only has one Worm Bed Tray.
There are supposed to be 500 worm in here.
We didn't count them.
Hopefully, they'll multiply and eat our fruit, vegie peelings,
and paper.
Then the other trays will be added as needed.
In a few weeks, we should be able to draw off Worm Wee
with that little tap.
(The porous cloth will prevent the worms falling into the wee
and drowning.)
Then SHE'll water down the wee concentrate
to fertilize the plants and garden.
(It's on a small table so small scotties won't play with it.)
So we've got worms!
Crikey .... My Mum gives me a pill to get rid of worms. Your Mum breeds 'em?? Is that wise?? Who knew worms did wees? Not me!!
ReplyDeleteIs that a challenge Dui? It's on a table so small scotties won't play with it'.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure an intelligent fella like yourself will soon find a way !
Loves and licky kisses

We hear they are pretty tasty - we see them all the time after a rain here. That is such a cool idea.
ReplyDeleteWe have never seen one before. Gosh how exciting. We look forward to learning more.
ReplyDeleteHave a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
We've never seen anything like this before but we do see lots of dead worms on our walkies in the morning after a rain. Molly loves to throw herself down in the middle of the road of top of the dead worms.

Guys what a great worm farm..best worms are the ones that don't make you butt itch haaahhaa :) we will have to get one when we start the veggie garden..there is not a worm can survive the cruddy rock we call ground here! took nearly a year to grow some grass for the pups here and now the maggies are pinching all the worms..bonus they are aerating the ground hahahaha :) have a great weekend hugs Fozziemum and gang xx
ReplyDeleteHow fascinating! I'm afraid Heather would eat all 500 worms if we had them here. She snatches them up any time she sees one on the sidewalk. Yuck! I love how 'green' you are with this, though. Maybe one day we'll do something like this! Much love, The Scottie Mom.
ReplyDeleteI gotta take a pill so I don't get worms and your momma got a whole worm farm. Dat are crazy!
ReplyDeleteLightning is drooling - worms and food droppings - he is in heaven:)
ReplyDeleteWho would have thunk that worm wee would be good as a fertilizer - what's wrong with pup wee????

ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Worm's wee! We have that kit here, but call it 'worm tea'. We like worm wee much better! It is shockingly so good for your plants. You know I like to eat worms, so it has to be out of my reach. We even put newspapers and coffee grounds in ours.

Our Mom isn't really fond of worms. She likes them as long as she doesn't have to touch them. Don't think we'll be getting any soon.
