Yep, just the same here, and with the freezer door for the ice cream, and the picking up of the sneakers that signals a walk, and the crinkle of paper that might e a taste of those yummy potato chips:) The only one who can't do this any more is Phantom because he has lost most of his hearing, but open a jar of peanut butter, or the deli meat and his sniffer is working quite well:)
Wow, that's funny! We do all know the sounds of the right cupboard or treat jar or especially the beloved refrigerator! BOL Some things are not to be ignored. :) Grr and Woof, Sarge, Pol Comm
YUPS!! Peeps just don't gets it! I knows what my treat jar sounds like and I can hear it even if I'm sleepin' upside down and snorin'!!! So....whatcha get???? Kisses, Ruby ♥
Its funny how we have selective hearing. Can totally hear a treat bag opening in the other room, butt we cant hear (or choose not to hear) our mommy calling our names when its time fur a bath.
Haha! Heather and Mr. K know the sound of the treat cabinet as well. I bet one little noise from it would wake them up in a heart beat, too! Much love, The Scottie Mom.
It doesn't matter how sneaky our peeps try to be....we know when they are trying to fool us. Not only do we have good sniffers but our hearing is excellent. Good job of catching them in the act. Wags Ernie and the other furkids
Thank goodness you know the difference between that cupboard's sound and the other treatless ones! Blueberry doesn't make that distinction. ;) To her, all cupboards have the potential for having treats hidden in there...
Oh Ya, You Betcha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
My dogs can detect that difference in sound as well! I often worry about them hurting themselves in their frenzy to get there so fast.
ReplyDeleteYEP.... no way is SHE gonna get in there and Eat all your snacks while you are sleeping. SHE can't pull any Wool over Your EARS, RIGHT girrrrrls????
ReplyDeleteYes, they try to be sneaky but it never works!
