The sickies seems to be gone. Everyone was up for a breakfast biscuit and our 5:30 a.m. walk, Bella is still not 100%. She was allowed off the lead and did NOT run off in search of cats. Our walk was shorter than usual....we'll head to the river in a little while so Roxy can burn up some energy. She is fully recovered.
Now, SHE has a question. Perhaps Bertie, Blogville's Scientist can answer this.
Why is it preferable to vomit on carpet rather than the easy-to-clean floor a few millimeters away?
Oh, this is FABULOUS news gurls!!!! YEA!! I was all worried that your Moms was gonna have to replace all the carpets by the time you gurls were betters!! BOL
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess that is the one nice thingie I do for Ma...I like pukin' under the kitchen table! She does have to crawl on her hands and knees to clean it, butts at least it's not carpet!! BOL
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
the ageless questions all moms ask......glad everyone is feeling better
ReplyDeleteOur POTP has been answered !! WONDERFUL FABULOUS News!! We are SO glad to hear it.
ReplyDeleteAs fur your question about Where to put the Pukes... it is the same a fur the Puppy Pees and Poops... Looking fur a Soft SILENT Landing.... which we HOPE, will not give us away... THAT is OUR thought on the matter... butt we will take other explanations under advisement.
HI ROXY..... I am very much glad that you were feeling like going fur a walkie and stuffs... and hope that you enjoy your River Time... I am going out fur a bit now.. with my coat on... and when I get back in you and I will have our Antler Gnawing time together, OKAY???

I'm happy but not 100% until Bella is chasing critters again.
ReplyDeleteWell I prefer carpet, cause it don't splatter back in my cute face!
ReplyDeleteSusie
Glad that everyone is feeling better. I shall anxiously await Bertie's answer.
ReplyDeleteVomit on carpet = Feet on grass ;-)
ReplyDeletehmmmm our cats always choose to vomit on our dining room table, ugh
ReplyDeleteretro rover
We think we prefer the carpet cause it is softer if our noses touch it. Glad everyone is better! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteIf you find the answer to that one could you let me know?
ReplyDeleteSue
Glad to hear u girls r feeling better. Us dogs like to go on carpet so it doesnt create a slip and slide type setting fur the human. If we vomit on tile floors it makes it slippery.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad everyone continues to feel better.
ReplyDeleteAs for that age old question, I'll be anxious to hear Bertie's answer! But I just asked Todd and Charlie who are the kings of doing that in our house and Charlie only said:
"Now let me ask you, if you got sick to your tummy and you were me, wouldn't you want something warm and "cushy" under your feet than something hard and cold?"
So, there you have Charlie's thoughts.... ;-)
Glad the sickies have left. I prefer to vomit on the carpet because it makes me feel better if mom steps in it in the middle of the night.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
I try to hide it in the carpet. Can't hide it on the smooth tile floor.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought.
Bentley
Glad to hear we are mostly better. Mom would like to know the answer to that question too, as Phantom always manages to hit the carpet with that bright yellow bile:(
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
So glad everyone is almost back to normal. Hopefully Bella will back to her normal self by tomorrow. We have no carpet in our house so I puke on the bed!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad everyone's feeling better!

Well now let me see. I fear that some of the earlier commenters, not being scientists perhaps, are barking up the wrong tree, We can easily explain the vomiting on the carpet not the floor behaviour in terms of evolution and survival of the fittest. Although us pups hate to admit it, we are dependent on our humans for our well being. This requires us to gain attention from said humans in times of need. What better way to draw attention to our sicknesses than to direct our vomit to the most expensive piece of soft furnishing or carpeting that comes within range? Surely you can see that to throw up on a nice easy to clean hard surface risks the episode being taken less seriously. thus reducing the chances of us obtaining appropriate medical care.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find my explanation satisfactory.
Toodle pip!
Bouncing Bertie Boffin.
Howdy Girls, we reckon vomiting on the carpet is best cause the smell lingers for weeks, months perhaps with luck. Mmmmm the smell of vomit in the morning. You lucky dogs! No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteCarpet is best, no slipsliding in the sick then!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are on the mend, hurry up Bella we need you 100% well.
CARPET of course. We send more healing paw and hope you are all back to normal asap. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly.
So glad she is feeling better. We always vomit on the carpet, or our beds. It gives Mum a much better workout trying to scrub it out and she can practice all those words she doesn't normaly say - win-win!

We are so happy to hear that you girls are feeling better! But carpet is so much better at absorbing!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
I'm sorry to hear that you all have been sick!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew the answer to your question! That always happens here too!
Great picture! Hate it when the sickies visit...mom gave us some chews yesterday. We all, totally loved them and they kept us busy for a long time. But our little Chica ate hers so fast and then she got sick. She threw up a few times on our walk and when we got home BUT then she was fine and looking for more to eat. As we heard an old saying....she must have a hollow leg. Don't get that her legs look just fine to us. Thanks for not giving up on us and for stopping by to visit.

Roxy you look as thrilled as I did. So happy every buddy is feeling better
ReplyDeleteLily
Because carpet is like grass. Or because our dogs like to give us cleaning challenges. ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad everyone is slowly feeling better!
WE are so glad you all are on the mend, now at our house we pee on the carpet sometimes instead of the tile...its just the way we are.

You all took a wonderful picture with Santa. I went back and read ~ glad Daisy stayed well and great news the other two are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
So glad to hear that everyone is starting to feel better. We've been keeping up with your illness saga, but hadn't had a chance to comment until now. Hope you pups continue to feel better!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm so glad everyone is feeling better! WHEW. Well, I have no carpet in my house, so I'm stuck with the easy-to-clean floor. Hmmmm maybe that's why my peeps don't have carpet! BOL
ReplyDeleteGrr and Woof,
Sarge, Pol Comm
Note to self ...better to vomit on carpeting than regular floors. So many new things for me to learn in blogville.
ReplyDeleteRuby
so glad you are doing better...love your photo with the Big Guy...
ReplyDeleteWow, we missed the big Bertie reveal. I am just glad that you guys are all well.
