Not a good start to the week.

First of all, in my defense, I'd like to say one word.
Cat!

Daisy
Yes everyone, there was a cat sneaking around in our front garden this morning.
I had to remind it, just whose garden it is and to leave!
SHE says I become a maniac when I see a cat, I call it protective.

That is my excuse important reason why one of the vertical blinds fell down, and the chain at the bottom became detached from about four of the blinds.
Collateral damage in the protection of our property.
Just because SHE  attached the blind the wrong way around and had to climb the ladder again to do it properly, was not my fault.

Naturally, I was very thirsty after that incident and had a long drink.  None of us  dogs  minded the trail of water across the kitchen floor.
HER choice to follow me around with the mop.
Then....

When everyone was leaving the river this morning, SHE couldn't find me. I knew where I was.
And if someone hadn't left a perfectly good fish to rot on the beach, I would never have ignored all HER yelling and whistling.
I was just savouring my delicious find.
I don't know what HER problem is.
Seems like a good start to the week to me!

  1. Well Daisy what were you supposed to do when you have an incoming feline intruder? We say it is your peeps fault for not securing the perimeter and leaving it to you. Wow and how ungrateful can you get moaning about the water trail. Don't they see that Homeland Security is a thirsty job and the blinds are just collateral damage. Have a marvellous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  3. Jeez, Daisy, somedays you just can't please anyone. You'd think your mum would be thankful for all you do for her. Sheesh. You protect the house, give her aerobic exercise climbing the ladder, arm exercise mopping and vocal training. Gosh, we believe you should have had EXTRA treats. HOpe the rest of the week improves. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

Wow, I think it all sounds wonderful! Protecting our territory and terrorizing an invader is a perfect job and you were totally on top of things. I bet that stinky fish was great for a roll. Did you end up with a dreaded bath and teeth-brushing? I sure would have. Our peeps never understand our priorities! :)
