My Name

I have lived in this house with HER for 9 years, 5 months and 12 days!
I have lived here 6 years longer than Bella and 8 years longer than Roxy.
My name is  Daisy.

Not   'Bella-Roxy-Daze....'

You'd think SHE would know by now!   I'm just sayin'.

Do your humans  run through everydog's name until they get to yours?

  2. Of course not! I take pride of knowing the exact names of my dogs... It's my nieces I have a confusion with... I often call them their sister's name. Now I feel like such a bad aunt.

  3. Ooh, yes!

Our human is always calling us the wrong names, sometimes it comes out as Trixa or Sasxie.

And when our friends Penny and Reyna visit, we're all Reypentrixash.

  4. Gail still automatically calls me Hamish when I stop and she has to tug the lead. She claims that the actions of tugging the lead and saying 'come on Hamish' go together...

  7. One learns to tune out the actual words and focus on the meaning. I have been called by several names of dogs who are not me. It seems the brain, mouth coordination is sometimes lacking in humans.

  9. Yes! I run through lots of names before I get to "Darby" or "Pumpkin." I've even called my dog girls "Erika"-- my human girl's name -- once or twice. We humans! What are ya gonna do with with us?

  10. Hey Daisy!
Wow, that's really troubling and very confusing! My only problem is the rude nicknames I have. Thinks like ButtWipe, A**Hole, Hey You, and the worst...ROVER! When I get called Rover, I know I've done something dumb. BOL I feel your pain, Daisy.

  12. Oopsie Daisy - pardon the pun *BOL*...we're sure SHE doesn't mean it. Mom and Dad are both pretty good with our names and numerous nicknames, so we can't complain.

  15. OH YES... my MOM even called me "BUTCH" which is my Dad's Nickname

I suppose it is just another example of ..."THEIR" inferior Brains.

  16. Mom spent her entire life being called by her sister's name. She makes sure not to get our mixed up!

  17. Nope. She cops out and calls us by colo(u)r. There's the black one, the white one and the blue one (the parrot). Somehow she remembers appearances.

  18. Mom is laughing so hard right now. We know the feeling. She even called her friend Lily the other day. ( her name was Lisa)

  20. Lol - sometimes I will forget Blueberry's name and I'll be like - "hey you, spotted puppy!" I don't think she minds. She best get used to my memory lapses, I'm not getting any younger! ;)

  30. You know what, Daisy - that same thing happens here all the time. None of us look alike but the Momster always says the wrong name - must be a "SHE" thing.

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL! At least she doesn't call you human names like our Mom does!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Daisy - Don't worry it doesn't just happen to dogs.

  33. My mom calls my dad, Dachshund Daddy, by my name all the time! "Tootsie," she says, and we both look at her. But you have an important point. A name is a name is a name. Some respect!

  34. Yes, she goes thru all ten names sometimes. Poor Lola and Bailey have learned to answer to both names.
    Morgan, Sebastian and the Porties

  35. A solution to that would just to call you baby or honey. Then everydoggy will answer then.
No confusion here, I'm an only doggy.
