Hi, our friend Oskar came up with the idea of giving our human's a bit of credit for their assistance in blogging. So we thought we'd tell you about ours--even if she's a bit boring.
We live in the middle of the state of New South Wales, Australia. Only Kendra was born near here. We only have the one human. She's not too bad, but sometimes a bugger to train. She was born in Washington, DC about 100 years ago. She grew up in Northern VA, attended Radford (when it was still a college) and taught for awhile in Bath County. (She has huge numbers of relatives in VA and some in TX.)

She loves scotties. We're numbers seven, eight and nine. She's not sure if there'll be a ten, but you never know. Basically she loves all animals.
She loves to travel and heads overseas whenever she can't stay put any longer. She says that it restores her faith in human beings to meet so many wonderful people all around the world who are just trying to do the right thing. (We go camping when these moods hit her.)
She was a classroom teacher and then an Itinerant Teacher for Blind and Vision Impaired kids. Now she's partially retired. That means she has to work sometimes so she can travel and have lots of scotties.
At home, she loves spending time with us: walking, or playing or (ugh) grooming. She says 'happiness is a lapful of scotties.' We give her lots of happiness.
She's tried lots of crafts, but loses interest in them after she learns to make some reasonable looking things. Mostly she loves to read. Fiction, Non-fiction, crime, history, sociology, biographies.....lots of things. She's now into blogging and surfing the net to find new adventures to go on. She doen't watch much television.
Her motto for life comes from the film 'Auntie Mame' (Rosalind Russell) "Life's a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!"
And here she is, being used as a launching pad by Bella during a wild game of chasey!
NSW. Now I know why you are always the first to comment ! Bella, you live up to your name.

Hi gorgeous girls - we think Oskar's game was an inspired idea and we've been having such great fun reading everyone's posts on this. We LOVE that photo of Bella using your human as a launch pad. Max uses FH as a springboard and often takes a running jump AT her just to get a really good launch OFF her in the other direction!! We think it's so cool that you're scotties 7, 8 and 9 - when love hits it hits hard eh?! You have a wonderful human - thank you for showcasing her for us today! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you all. We think your human sounds like lots of fun. We think curling up in their laps is the bestest way to show we love them.
ReplyDeleteWags!
