Shoes

These old shoes always cause great excitement!

BECAUSE
they are goin'-for-a walk shoes!

Whenever SHE puts these shoes on,
we get very excited.

Roxy usually grabs a toy and shakes it.
A short ,out-of-focus video:

Do you have 'signs' that tell you something exciting is about to happen?

  1. Roxy darlin' you have made me squeak with laughter. Love the terrier shake. Does SHE ever take the river shoes out and walk away to tease you 3?
Angel Madi would head for parts unknown when the PTU came out...she knew that meant a car trip, which caused her to sing the song of her people, and it was usually to the VET.

  2. We know when Lady opens the garage door cause that is where our leashes hang. We bark and carry on. By we, we mean Lee.

  3. Same here. When Mom puts on her garden shoes Mackey and Tess start barking. Lola dances and Norma Jean sings and spins. All the crazy activity drives Mom nuts but we love it.

  4. This was fun, and when I played it a 2nd time, it got Todd's attention! Maybe he thought he was going for a walk too!! :-) But just a leash in my hand is always great cause for excitement!

  5. Oh yes, it is the shoes here that do it to us too!!!

Funny story - Mom says when her human kids were young, they always knew when she and Dad were going out at night by the smell of her perfume:)

  6. If the kitchen table is set but no one sits down that means someone is coming over. If it is before supper time and our dad brings out our leashes we know we are going for a walk.

  9. Hamish used to take my use of the downstairs bathroom as his 'walk sign'. He would start barking loudly. Over time, I stopped using this bathroom and would go upstairs if I was't planning a walk, thus, I now realise, reinforcing this unwanted behaviour. Thankfully Bertie dos not do this.
I too own some very similar shoes.
    Cheers! Gail.

  14. hey sweet Roxie, you are looking adorable with your sweet little growl... Big knows what we are doing by our clothes. when we put on bathing suit and clothing he knows he is going to be home alone and gets all sad looking. he has TWO pairs of walking shoes to watch. when we gt them from the kitchen and put them on, he KNOWS we are going for our walk... then he sits like a lamb to get in his harness.

  15. Oh Yes! When mom was still working it was when she changed into her tennis shoes. I, Mabel know when it is training time and when mom goes potty I know it is time to leave haha

  17. In our household, we only get that reaction when the treat bag comes out. We love the video. Roxy is really for that walk. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.
