Still here Saturday

STILL doin' the same ole, same ole.

Bella
 STILL unkempt.
Dui
 STILL dirty.

STILL enjoying life.

So far, we've had cool mornings and mild days.

We've had a bit of rain and a windy thunderstorm.
Roxy and Bella protected HER by staying very close
and following HER everywhere until the storm abated.
Dui didn't help at all.  He ignored the storm.

There was an altercation with the magpies one day.
Dui was seen chasing them around the driveway.
We now have one 'hoppy' magpie.  He has a useless leg
which could be just a coincidence.

Hoppy
All three magpies arrive several times a day for food.
They treat us like a fast-food window,  just calling in their order.

One day we had to close the shades and close the front door
and pretend we weren't home.  They were there every hour.
Have a good weekend.

  2. We think those birds are TOOooo smart, scary smart!
About the grooming thing....it's overrated. Terriers would rather be close to nature! (says two terriers just back from the groomer)

  3. Glad you are still there! Those magpies have a really weird voice, rather eerie!

  6. It's is very sweet that your pups take care of one another during a storm. Pocket hates storms and River Song ignores her and leaves her to her parents for comfort.

  7. Seems to us that you are all just enjoying having a good time.

Those magpies would drive us nuts - we loved your fast food window analogy:)

  8. A really cold night here in Loudoun county tonight - Supposed to be down into the 40's. Burrrrr!!!

I love the Magpies -- Todd did too, when he heard them he came running over. He may have injured one too -- Which would have maybe slowed down business at the drive-thru! But they know a good thing when they have it.

  13. Magpies are like unwanted sales people. We put up a no soliciting sign it was that bad. Now it is just awkward because we have to say can't you read our sign. I'll be over with the fur brush Bella.

  14. The woodpeckers are the demanding ones around here. If the feeder is empty, they knock on the window. If we don't act quickly, they start drilling holes in the side of the house. Yikes!!

  15. OM Magpies..what voices they have too.
I'm sure Dui had nothing to do with the hippty hop of the magpie..it was probably that front yard cat.

MOM got a big chuckle out of your comment about the fashion designers..wearing all black drab. LOLOLOLOLOL

  16. Both the boys just got a bath but Pierre needs a trip to the groomer. Our groomer moved so we are searching for someone we can trust. Pierre HATES to be groomed. I had no idea that magpies were so BIG!

  18. It must be the same here as there! Our weather is nice. Mom says we're on borrowed time.

  22. My peeps think I just look unkempt all the time too but it is hard to look smart when there are so many fun muddy twiggy places to explore. We get lots of pigeons in the garden but they don't stay long with our gang chasing them BOL Nose licks and love from Moth xx

  25. Don't think a hopping magpie would have returned if the 'hop ' was Dui related.
