A terrible....

...Horrible No Good Very Bad Week.

The week got off to a good start.
Monday was a public holiday which meant
an extra morning at the river.
And there were beef shin bones at the little store.
But on Tuesday, we went for a neighbourhood walk
late in the morning.
Firstly, after making all three dogs sit, hanging tightly onto
Roxy and Dui,  Bella attacked an ageing Jack Russell.
She didn't land a bite, but it was totally unexpected.

We  continued, where SHE met a former colleague,
Dui attacked him!  This time it was a definite attack....
no excuses like floaty pants, or suddenly appearing.
There was blood and torn trousers.
Friends have tried to say maybe he's protecting you.
But there is no excuse.
A muzzle has been ordered and he will have to wear it in public.

Wednesday, we went to the sportsground.
Just as the car door was opened a POLICE van
drove passed.  Dui was out, and chasing it up the road.
Luckily, it stopped when Dui was about 10 metres behind
and Dui stopped as well.
When it didn't move, Dui returned to us.
Looks like his running free will be limited now.

We arrived home to find the electricity off...stayed off
for about 4 hours.  When we got power again,
the mouse wouldn't work on the computer.
Changed batteries, still didn't work.

Thursday, raced out at 7 a.m. to buy a new mouse
(wireless), it didn't work.  Took the computer
to the technicians, who said it would be a few days before they could get to it.  Luckily, one technician looked at it straight away and said it was working charge.
Came home and it worked.  Now have two mice.

It's early Friday.... awoke to this....
So hopefully it will be a good end of week!
(We hear there are days like this in Timbuktu!)

Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

  1. Wow, what a week! That Dui is a naughty boy!

  2. Oh my you kids have been naughty and brought bad karma down on your family. You know we expect better of you. We hope your bad karma is done for the winter

  3. Who let Alexander come to visit??? BOL

Poor Dui - he is a mischievous imp, isn't he? We hope the muzzle solves the problem.

maybe that mouse was just taking a nap.

We hope the rest of the week goes a lot better for all of you.

    Woos - Misty and Lightning

  4. 2 mice? Give Dui and Bella the task of ridding your place of the rodent infestation.

  9. Oh no..! Hope your weekends will be great. We were a bit worried reading that "muzzle has been ordered". Does it mean muzzle is bought? Or ordered by the authority to wear muzzle in public?? We hope it's not the latter.

  10. Wow - you have had a tough week! Hopefully, your weekend will be picture perfect. Your sunrise is absolutely gorgeous!

  11. that was sure an eventful week... I hope you are not in trouble for the attack(s)....hugs to you and we wish you a super peaceful and happy weekend...

  12. Hope your weekend makes up for such a yucky week!

  13. Oh my dawg. Some buddy stay on a leash. What a beautiful sky
    Lily & Edward

  14. I hope the muzzle is not the kind a lead attaches to, like a gentle trainer type. We had two different trainers warn us never to use that kind on a Scottie. Apparently their kill shake is so strong, they could snap their scrawny little necks if the lead is attached to a muzzle.

  15. Oh dear, that does sound a difficult week. What to do about Dui? His unpredictable behaviour must be a worry, and we know you will be thinking hard about the best way to manage him in public.
Wishing you good luck and hope next week goes more smoothly.

Its over let it go! Oh Dui here in Nati you would be in lockup.
    Thanks for being a friend
    Sweet William

  18. We sure hope next week is much better for all of you.

  19. I am so sorry that you had such a horrible week. Is your friend okay? That is so scary. We used to have a miniature schnauzer that was a biter. It was so hard because he look like a cartoon character and everyone wanted to pet him. I hope next week is much better. ♥

  20. A truly horrible week but I'll stick with the analysis that the Scotties were defending you. Scotties by name feisty by nature.

  21. Tobi,
Oh my word..........what in the world has gotten in the the Scotties?
We do know terriers are territorial but WOW. All of a sudden feeling a need to protect YOU. Did they know something you didn't
I know SHE was mortified by this random act of 'K9 stupidity' and I hope and purr it was a one time thing. Dear me.
I agree a muzzle in public will protect all and keep your stress level down. Here is to a better week
    Hugs Madi and Mom

  22. PS the sunset was gorgeous!! Maybe that is a sign of better days to come

  23. Oh gosh, I am sorry. I think that sunset is a good sign that next week will be better!!!! Hugs!

  24. That is a terrible, horrible week. Dui, you can protect your Lady but you can't use your teeth to do it!

  25. Oh nose about Dui. Mama has to keep a watchful eye on me cause I are pawtective too. We hope this next week coming up is better fur ya'll.

    Dat sky is beautiful!!!
