5:30 a.m.

We're out securing the boundaries.  No cats!
 But wait!
What is that strange thing on the other side of the fence!

Alert the neighbourhood!
...And everyone on our side of the river.
A clear and present DANGER!

Luckily the people who live there were gone for the weekend.
SHE doesn't think they would
have liked the early morning wake-up call.
Dui's alarm was cut short....

Then it was off to the river.  Here comes Kelly, Dui is in his 'ambush' position!
GAME ON!

  2. That reminds us of the day the scary plastic bag monster was waiting in our yard. Nobody was brave enough to walk up to it, so we stayed on top of the hill barking at it till Mom rescued us.

I try to get our peeps up at 5.30 a.m. too BOL I know it is still pitch black here in the U.K. at that time but us doggies do need to check what is going on in the neighbourhood especially strange objects suddenly appearing near the boundaries. Have fun at the river - nose licks and love from Moth xx

  17. Funny how something out of the ordinary, albeit harmless, gets the guard dog genes worked up!

  19. Ohhhh do I have some early morn news myself. This was our weekend to switch back to EST from DST. So we 'fell' back and hour. BUT GUESS WHAT MY TUMMY DID NOT GET THE MEMO. I had to let the food service depart know I was hungry at 5:18 am formerly 6:18 am. I kept up my demands until she got up at 5:30 am. I ate then took a 3 hour nap. MOLMOL

  25. Our Trail is like that - if there is something different, he lets everyone within hearing distance about it. The vehicle was moved in the yard and parked in a "new" spot...BARK, BARK, BARK!
