It's Halloween.....

morning here.

Some uncooperative dogs had to have stickers instead of costumes....just sayin'.

Not that Halloween is celebrated much in Australia.
It IS catching on.

We always  put out a plastic pumpkin to show that we have treats.

And the local scouts give out maps of houses that participate.

We were going to put our house on the map, but after watching about 500 kids go to the house across the street, we decided just to take the kids who'll come to the door!

However, as it's Spring, usually quite warm, and light outside, it loses some of the magic that SHE remembers as a child in Virginia.

WARNING!

Remember to be careful  when you open your door
 to strangers.

You may be in for a horrifying surprise!

VACULA strikes again.

  15. I know what SHE means. I also miss seeing all the trick or treaters that we used to see when we lived in a subdivision. I used to sit on the porch with one of the dogs and just enjoy the fun.

  16. Happy Halloween!! We live out in the country so no trick or treaters but we always go over to Doc's house and help hand out candy.

I swear that Vacula is the scariest thing I've ever seen and I always run and hide when mom takes him out of his spooky cell, matter of fact I hate it when she opens his cell door for any reason and sometime she just opens and shuts it just to jack with me.

    Aroo to you,
    Sully

  18. You will see much the same on our post when Halloween hits here. It will be somewhat light here - the first kids usually start out at about 6:15 and by 6:30 it is dark enough to leave the porch lights on. AND it is going to be very cold here for all those little ones:(

    Happy Halloween.
