Garden Supervision

This was our vegie garden for the last two years....
Actually, it successfully grew cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes and zucchinis.
This year we got a galvanized iron garden.
The bits are all here
 We helped put it together.
Bella made sure the first bit was in position...
Nearly there.  Surprisingly, because we don't have thumbs and SHE's all thumbs.

There, it's all ready to start planting....

Uh oh, some spotty doggy has been digging in it.
The tomato plant in the centre had to be replanted twice!
But everything is growing well now.
We just didn't take a picture lately.

  1. I like gardening. We used to have potted plants n our balcony up in the mountains, but Lady travels too much to keep plants here. It's too hot to go without water. I think you did splendidly!

  2. Looks like the perfect little veggie garden...."hopefully the digger will leave the plants alone

  3. Oh I like your galvanized iron garden borders. Yummy tomatoes and fresh veggies. We will surely enjoy watching your garden grow during our winter.
    Spotty, spotty must like veggies.
    Hugs Madi your bfff

  4. That looks a lot like my (Sammy) sand pit butt with it's own noms growing in it BOL

  5. I think you just made the soil mowe weceptive to all those lovely veggies..i think bof of you awe a gweat help
    smoochie kisses

  6. Are you sure it wasn't a squirrel that made those holes?

  7. Ha ha .....we sometimes help out with weeding and we get shouted at. Looks good and we wish you a bumper harvest. Have a tremendous Thursday.
    Best wishes Molly

  8. tats nice to have a vegetable patch like that... i wonder if i cud do it here too.. before the cats dig everything out to poo :) you girls are very helpful :) even with no thumbs :D

  9. That garden is pawsome! I think Roxy was just pulling some weeds in the middle there by that plant that accidentally fell out of place!

  10. NOW you need to go BACK... and find the post where your mom took her CHERRY tomatoes to LUNCH with her furends.. in the GOLD BOX... Everybuddy would LOVE seeing that post again.

THAT is a SUPER new Garden area. We really like it a LOT.
PeeS... ERNIE says you girrrls are BAD fur Hiding His Post from His ROXY yesterday. He Wants her to know that he was thinking of HER while he was at the Pumpkin show.

  11. You're inspiring Daisy...I've tried veggies in containers with no luck at all but your new garden plot is great and something I may have to try...It looks pretty simple to construct

  12. Neither the new nor the old garden would work here. It's too low and the bunnies would thank you for their veggies. The plants would never get big enough to produce-the bunnies eat the entire plant before that stage.

  13. It looks like you're gonna have a GAWJUSS garden this year. And great job to "somedoggy" for helping dig the holes.

    Wiggles & Wags,

  14. Of course you are going to be good at gardening and digging.
Roxy is just making sure it's pawfect :-)

  15. Good job on the garden! Always let the plants stay in the ground so you can eat the stuff they grow! ;)

  16. Wonderful container gardens! We love them when everything is growing and bulging at the seams. Makes us want to eat everything!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  17. Good idea for a raised veggie patch, we would have never thought of iron.

  18. That looks like a great new sand box you have there. We'll bring our shovels (paws) and pails (mouths) and come play with you.
Morgan, Sebastian, the Porties, Syd and Mac

  19. We think it's more inviting for some puppers (don't know who) to get into, but it sure looks good!

  20. Now wez wonder who that waz bawahwhhaha xxooxxx

    Mollie and Alfie

  21. Wonderful container garden. I am sure having three supervisors really helped make the job go smooth..
Rockin Wills has no idea why the video would not play for you today since it is hosted by You Tube.
Thanks for stopping by my blog

  22. We can't wait to see how everything grows if some doggie stays out of the garden.

    Millie & Walter

  23. What a great garden Our Lady doesn't love the gardening, she wishes she did and so did we cause it looks fun to dig! Lee and Phod

  24. Our poor Mom would love to have a vegetable garden, but so far no luck with even the flowers with SomePup here. But maybe next year - at least she can keep hoping")

Hope your garden overflows with good things.

Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

  25. Oh, sure, blame it on the doxie :0)
Can't wait to see it once everything starts growing and producing!

  26. well, that is pretty snazzy!! Should be able to grow some yummy stuffs!!

    Jazzi and Addi

  27. Good job ladies! But I don't see the issue with digging in the garden I thinks it's a wonderful idea.

    Aroo to you,

  28. Our job is to help dig holes! It's in our blood!! I am sure you are looking forward to some tasty veggies soon.

  29. Give the garden some time, Roxy, and you'll be snagging tomatoes and cucs! yummmm

    Love ya lots♥
    Mitch and Molly

  30. Wow... A big doggy digging pit... I want one!

  31. We know how you feel. The dogs just love digging. Unfortunately, it's the plant that suffers. LOL.

  32. Spotty dogs sometimes lack an off switch when it comes to gardening.

  33. Ooo, very nice. Hope you get some good stuff soon.
