We had to have another bath today.....and we did NOT go to the river!
On our morning walk, we went to a new, unused sports oval so we could run.
When we got home, SHE discovered that I, Daisy, was full of burrs and Bella had a few.
SHE also noticed that we were all sticky and dirty. Just look at her finger tips after getting all those burrs out of my fur.
So it was into the laundry tub for a half bath. Luckily whatever the sticky stuff was, it came off easily.
Even Roxy, who had no burrs, had to have a full bath because she managed to get mud splashed on her head and back!
Bella always enjoys watching the dirty water go down the drain.
Don't think we're going running on that oval again.
Well, now you can say you've been to the sports oval, and it's just not worth getting a bath over! :-)
ReplyDeleteEw! Burs are even less fun then a bath

Gross dirt!! Do you love getting the towel after a bath? It makes us run around like crazy dogs!!

burrrrrrrrrrrrss... ouch ouch ouch... but a bath after a good time is alright. Hope you girls had some bones too... :D
ReplyDeleteno fair....I bet those burrs didn't feel good...
ReplyDeleteEwww, yuck. Guess that spot will be off the walking list now. Poor Mom, bet those fingers are sore after all that cleaning and scrubbing. But you three have to be the cleanest and softest pups in town.

Burrs are no fun at all! The Newfs get them stuck in the fur all the time!
ReplyDeleteI have had those before too and no fun!! But least you had fun while you were out!

Well that looks just awful ~ maybe you should go to the square sports track.

What on earth do they put on the oval to produce that yucky black powdery stuff? And why? We're thinking track oval, as cricket ovals are grass, are they not? Maybe it's something to give the runners traction? But we fail to see any speed advantage to adding burrs to the oval. Burrs in the fur can be irritating, but burrs in the paws and between the toes can be excruciating. Good thing your mom checks for stuff like that.

I like watching the water go down the drain, too. Is it true it swirls the opposite way downunder from up here?
ReplyDelete.,Glad that even you have burrs.,at least you enjoyed being outside..

Ah happy memories. Of the time my Dad and I took Hamish for a walking in Derbyshire and I spent at least two hours when we returned home, washing off the mud and then brushing out several hundred burrs....
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
Hey! I think it was worth it. Good times, right?
ReplyDeleteMomma is totally jelly that you can take a bath in the sink.
Slobbers,

YUK! I've had those burrs on me before and it hurts to get them pulled off! That adventure sure turned sour!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch
Oh burrs are the worst thing ever - we get them all caught in our leg furnishings and beards and it is so horrible having them all detangled out! Probably just as horrible for our Mum too actually - woofs and licks from Magic xx
ReplyDeleteYuck!! We hate burrs - they are almost as bad as a bath!!

You're allowed on the counter?! I think I might entertain the thought of a bath if it meant I could explore the counter! BOL!
ReplyDelete-Corbin
It's good to switch it up and try new things!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
you are lucky you are not still soaking in the tub
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Yucko, that's ugly stuff to get all over your furs. We think the baths were probably a good idea.
ReplyDeleteMorgan, Tsar and the Porties
We get those pesky burrs all the time, but fortunately not the black yukky stuff! So you had a bit of "grooming torture" when you got back home?!
