My Special Easter toy from Ernie....

Isn't Wasn't it beautiful?

Dui's photo bombing again.

It's seen a lot of action.

And not just by ME!

June 21st

Today September 25th...

The first picture is a DUNK.  Happens after visiting the river
 to clean the undercarriage.
Fair enough....
The second shows an UNWARRANTED B.A.T.H!
It's raining today, BUT we got in our early morning walk.
We just did road work...a forced march.....no Pee Mail.
SHE said Bella still smelled like the river...
So all three of us had to have baths!

A sister's perspective

It's me, Bella.  I'm sitting in Kelly's ute.
After our walk around the track, when we come down to the river,
to socialise with the other dogs,
 I usually sit here.
And yes, I can jump up by myself.

I sit here to stay away from those crazy dogs.
Especially, Dui!  He loves to attack me.
He's like the Black Knight in Python's Holy Grail.
He never gives up.
He's like a blowfly, always in every dogs' faces.
Dui is naughty and always finding something disgusting to eat.

At home, he rips out plants, de-stuffs stuffies.
AND steals food.  The other day, he tried to get two beef knuckle bones in his mouth.....one being MINE!
He grabs all the treats if they fall on the floor.

And he squeaks LOUDLY when he wants something.
(SHE thinks he may be a castrato now,
though we're hoping his voice may deepen.)
He wakes us up at 5 a.m. ready for action.
So far, he can't jump, so I can get away from him.

No one asked me if I wanted a brother.....
He is good company when we're on cat patrol, though.

Mischief, thy name is Macdui.

Monday, September 15th

I'm officially 6 months old now.  I was born on the 15th of March.

I have my big teeth, I'm nearly as big as Bella,
and I had my stitches removed today.

Not that those stitches hindered me much.

They healed so well and quickly I was able to go to the river.

I was RIGHT into the wild games!

Of course, I did have to have a rest when we got home.

This post is number 1111.

That's perfect because I'm NUMBER ONE!
Just don't tell Bella and Roxy I said that.

Wordless Wednesday--Just us on a Spring day

There's a Magpie teasing us on the top of the Cricket nets.

Tasty Tuesday...

Look People Crackers.  We love them.

We can't buy them in Oz.

Frankie and Ernie sent them to us.

They sent these to Dui BEFORE he even arrived.
He's been here NEARLY 4 months!
We want to know WHY it's taken HER so long to open the packet!
Isn't there a law or something about withholding treats?

Bella and I Roxy, went to the river again this morning.
Of course, Dui stayed home--not in his crate.

The only casualty today was a cheap fly swatter.

Then, while Bella and I rested, Dui got to go with HER to our friend Millie's house.
He's supposed to stay quiet and calm.

He got to play outside by himself for a little while
he inspected every room in the house, ate Millie's breakfast; got under the BIG BED and
started racing out to attack her (growling and barking).

It was a short visit.
But he got to explore a park on the way home.
As much as the walking string would let him.

So his day wasn't a total loss.
His stitches look good and he hasn't bothered with them.

Today is Father's Day in Australia.
We don't have a dad, but Kelly shares hers,
Flash and Buddy share theirs,
and Millie shares hers.
We hope all the Dads have a great day!

Dui recovering.....

Most of you realised that Dui went in for
 his Bobble Ectomy yesterday.

He was a little quieter last night--for Dui--but woke ready for action this morning.

He tormented Bella; played some wild bitey-face with Roxy; barked at the cats and raced around the garden.

He wasn't allowed to go to the river with us.

SHE zipped him in his crate, so he could sleep.

We could hear him having a tantrum as we left.

When we came home, Dui met us at the door.

Still barking at the unfairness of it all.
He'd chewed the zipper, and escaped!
The next ten days, keeping him 'quiet' are going to be long.
♥    ♥    ♥    ♥    ♥
We'd also like to send hugs and snuggles to everyone for Benny!
We'll never forget him.  We've been snuggling all day.

You know what happened at our house today?

That's right nothin'.
Last night we didn't have our bedtime treat.
This morning we didn't have a walk.
We didn't have breakfast and
there was no water dish!

SHE pulled apart Dui's crate and washed everything.
Even Big Ted.

Then SHE put Dui--only Dui-- in the car and disappeared
all morning.

Oh, SHE did give Bella and I our breakfast bones and put the water dishes back down.

Finally, about halfway through the day, SHE came home and took us for a short run
around the duck pond.

Then SHE put Dui's bed back together and put Big Ted to bed,
and disappeared again!

This time when SHE came home, SHE had Dui with HER.

We were very happy to see him and he was happy to see us.
 That's why we're all blurry.

His tummy smelled very funny....like the Vets'.

He wasn't as wild as he usually is.  And just wants to sleep
 near HER.

Very mysterious.
