Thanks

First of all, we'd like to thank all of Blogville for the POTP, e-mails and good wishes you've sent Roxy and Bella during their recent  sickness.  They are back to normal--whatever that is--eating all food and looking for more.
  Sometimes we forget Blogville's kindness.

We also thank you for all those comments regarding messing up carpet, or floor.

As we knew he would, Bertie came through with his scientific knowledge and has made an erudite contribution that is easily understood by lay dogs.

For those who missed his comment, we reprinted it here.....

"Well now let me see. I fear that some of the earlier commenters, not being scientists perhaps, are barking up the wrong tree, We can easily explain the vomiting on the carpet not the floor behaviour in terms of evolution and survival of the fittest. Although us pups hate to admit it, we are dependent on our humans for our well being. This requires us to gain attention from said humans in times of need. What better way to draw attention to our sicknesses than to direct our vomit to the most expensive piece of soft furnishing or carpeting that comes within range? Surely you can see that to throw up on a nice easy to clean hard surface risks the episode being taken less seriously. thus reducing the chances of us obtaining appropriate medical care.
I hope you find my explanation satisfactory."

Toodle pip!
Bouncing Bertie Boffin.

Bertie, we find it extremely satisfactory as we have been absolved.

AND the next time SHE accuses us of making an unnecessary mess on HER carpets and furniture.  We're going to tell HER to suck eggs--Because it is in our DNA!!!
THANK YOU, BERTIE!
We hope Gail remembers this if you ever feel the need for medical attention.
Perhaps Gail is one step ahead and doesn't have carpets.

  4. Always pleased to be of service! Perhaps I should add that I practice what I preach, and in the episode that has come in this houshold to be known as 'Brown Friday' I successfully targeted (with very liquid rear end emissions) both the expensive Persian rug AND the rust coloured upholstered chair featured in the photo above...
    Toodle pip!

  5. LOL. It does sound like a very smart answer... We believe it, in fact.

Glad to hear all is well. I love the header so much.

  6. LOL! I think it depends on the owner when it comes to vomit on the carpet. In some cases it might be to the detriment of said dog. Some folks are more laid back than others.....Choose wisely is what I say to the dogs......

  7. Bertie is so smart. We only have on little mat by the front door to throw up on. Man, our people aren't giving us the opportunity to do what is natural! Lee and Phod

  15. Kaci nailed it yesterday. Vomiting is a waste of food. Genes or not, we need to figure out something else that gets us to the same place. Pooping works for me.

  23. Someone was throwing up on the carpet? Did they clean up after themselves? My dogs usually do, so I'm never sure whether a wet spot is a little drool, or someone cleaning up their own vomit. I'm glad they're all better now.
